An evening rooted in hope, community, and love. We’ll move through a blend of guided and silent meditation—both seated and walking—offering our presence to peace within ourselves, our community, and beyond. This gathering also serves as a fundraiser for Community Supported Shelters, supporting their vital work with our unhoused neighbors—an extension of the care and compassion we cultivate in practice. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to create a small personal altar for peace using thoughtfully provided materials—a tangible reminder you can keep. The evening will close with a simple Sanskrit chant for peace, grounding our time together in a shared sense of stillness, connection, and collective hope.

Sarah discovered yoga and meditation early in life, where she experienced—perhaps for the first time—what it truly felt like to embody a peaceful life. These practices helped steady her mind and supported a way of moving through life with greater clarity and ease. She has been teaching in the Eugene community for almost two decades, sharing both yoga and meditation with a wide range of students. While her teaching has spanned various styles, she is currently most drawn to gentle and restorative practices, with meditation woven in as a central and meaningful component. Several journeys to Southern India, including a month-long silent retreat in Amritapuri, deepened her practice and sparked a meaningful shift—one that continues to inspire her to share meditation practices with her community.
