Dyad Meditation is a contemplative relational practice rooted in the Zen Buddhist tradition. Through the use of a koan — a contemplative question offered not to be solved intellectually, but experienced directly — participants are invited into a process of inquiry, presence, and honest expression.

.

Participants will take turns listening deeply and communicating what naturally arises through contemplation. Dyad Meditation is often understood as a form of communicated meditation — a practice that invites us to speak from immediate experience rather than analysis or performance. It is an opportunity to slow down, listen inwardly, and express what emerges from the heart in the presence of another.

.

Following the dyad practice, participants will be guided into journaling, reflection, and group discussion as a way to integrate the experience together in community.

Julynel Kerzner is a Zen Buddhist practitioner who has devoted the past five years to the path of practice, presence, and deep inner listening. Rooted in the understanding that connection itself can be a spiritual practice, she has spent the last four years working closely with the Dyad Meditation structure, cultivating a profound reverence for heart-centered connection, the art of listening, nonviolent communication, and mindfulness.
