Private lessons at Everyday People Yoga can be beneficial for beginner and advanced students alike. Whether you are seeking to alleviate a physical ailment, or simply would like to dive deeper into your personal practice, lessons have several advantages over traditional classes. These include:

Here’s how it works:

First, we’ll have a short conversation about your goals, as well as your physical, mental, and spiritual abilities and/or limitations. We will discuss any areas of the body where there is tension or injury, and decide what will be the focus of your practice. Together we will create a sequence of poses that is tailored to your body’s needs. Depending on your interests, this may also include specific breathing techniques (pranayama), as well as time for meditation.

Before coming to the studio, you will receive a sequence of poses to review. During your lesson, you will be guided through each pose, and will be assisted with both verbal and physical cues where appropriate.
