If you’ve always thought there was more complexity to core strength than just pulling your belly button to your spine, then you’re right! What does it really mean to “engage your core?” In this workshop, we’ll be discussing how the core connects the upper and lower parts of the body and how to strengthen your ability to feel and engage this full-body connection. Join this workshop to learn how to:

  • Reflexively engage your core
  • Find stability and control through your core as you use your upper and lower body
  • Use your breath while maintaining a strong core
  • Reduce tension in areas that may be undermining your core strength

Briana Martinez is a movement coach, specializing in helping people feel more connected to their bodies and the environments that they move through. She is certified as a Restorative Exercise Specialist through Katy Bowman’s Nutritious Movement Institute and is also a MovNat Level 2 trainer and yoga teacher.
