We’ll be focusing on nourishing the large intestine energy system, one of the major organ systems of the fall. This is especially relevant after Thanksgiving!
Zen Jin Shin means “meditation through compassionate awareness” and is an energy practice that releases tension/blockages in the meridians of the body, harmonizing their flow. Many energy lines run through your body and each supplies its area with the necessary energy and vitality. These meridians connect to your organs too and facilitate the transfer of energy between them.
Each organ system is associated with certain emotions so that, for example, releasing tension in the large intestine channels helps to release stagnation and attachment while bringing more of a capacity to let go and move on from the past. The large intestine is traditionally seen as one of the two main organ systems of the fall.
