Location: Nosara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
ૐ A private retreat center nestled in the heart of Costa Rica; a bridge between continents. Imagine: an entire center built around the ancient yogic wisdom of Vastu Shastra (art of living). Surrounded by Nature in Her most pristine form. Here, planetary forces literally emanate peace and harmony. It is no wonder the Nicoya peninsula is known as one of a select number of blue zones, with the highest concentration of inhabitants that live to 100 and beyond.
The center is blessed with lush, green mountainsides, blue ocean waters, and plentiful sunshine. The center’s entire layout follows the ancient science of Vastu Shastra, meaning “the yoga of space”, invoking peace and harmony among all beings. All structures are aligned with the 9 directions, 5 elements, the earth’s vibrational grid, and the energies of Mother Earth. All floors, walls and roofs have been meticulously measured to optimize the flow of positive energy throughout.
There are two large cabinas with six rooms. Each room can accommodate up to three people, and offer the following:
The 750 square foot covered, yet open studio overlooks the ocean, mountains and valleys, as well as the beautifully landscaped courtyard and saltwater infinity pool. A teak-wood floor (with planetary gemstones consciously placed underneath to connect Earth and Sky) offers a perfect practice surface. There is a special altar on the North end to invoke health, happiness, and harmony.
Vegan/vegetarian meals will appeal to a variety of appetites. The staff will take into consideration your individual dietary needs. All meals are served in our lovely open air dining room, with a grand vista of the gardens, pool, mountains and sea.
Your day begins with a self-serve feast of fresh fruits, home-made, organic yogurt from fresh, local raw milk, locally baked breads, home-made granola, gluten free pancakes as well as gallo pinto (a Costa Rican traditional dish of rice & beans) and fresh local, organic eggs served up in a creative variety.
Lunches and dinners are served sit-down style and carefully planned to be suitable for the climate. The food is light and nourishing.
The infinity edge saltwater swimming/reflecting place is the perfect place for contemplation and floating under the stars. The pool is located in the Northeast corner of the house mandala, in accordance with the Vastu water element. The library is well stocked with plenty of books, videos, and board games, with fresh fruit and a variety of teas always available after dinner.
