What do classes cost?

All classes are by donation. Donation doesn’t mean free. A fair energy exchange is $12 – 20 per class, per person which is based on the average cost of a yoga class in Eugene. We also offer very affordable passes for those who want to save time and money by investing more in the studio. The money we receive goes directly to your teacher, and to studio overhead. We do not receive outside funding. Thank you for your support!

What should I do to get ready for class?

Students do not need to pre-register for classes. Wear comfortable clothing, and do your best to arrive at the studio 10 – 15 minutes early. The classroom door opens 15 minutes before class.

There is no receptionist!?

At EPY, we keep things as simple as possible. Since our system is based on trust, we do not require you to sign liability waivers before entering the studio. If you arrive early, your teacher will be available to direct you, answering any questions you may have.

Where do I go?

After passing through the reception room, follow the hallway until you see an open room to your left for shoes and coats. Once inside the studio, there is a clipboard at the back where you will sign in. After meeting your teacher, you will gather the appropriate props, lay down your mat, and take some time to center before class. There is a box near the clipboard where donations can be made. This can be done either before or after class. Please ask your teacher if you need change.

Do you have a mat I can borrow?

Yes, we have a limited number of mats for you to use, free of charge. First come, first serve. We also have straps, blocks, blankets, and other props for students’ use during class.

What if I have a punch card? Should I still donate?

Punch cards can be used in place of a donation. If you have a card, think of donations as an opportunity to tip your yoga instructor. Of course, there is no obligation.

Is there an age limit for attending classes?

Minors who are age twelve or older are welcomed to attend classes, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

I am new to yoga, what should I bring?

Please remove your shoes before entering the yoga studio. There is a safe storage room to the left of the studio for all personal belongings.

Out of consideration for others, please turn off or silence your phone before entering the studio.

There is a large restroom inside the yoga studio.

No food or drink is allowed inside the yoga studio, with the exception of water in a sealed container.

Please try to bring your own mat. A limited number of mats are available for students to borrow.

The use of various fragrances on the body is an accepted aspect of our culture. Out of respect for other students, we ask that you please avoid applying strong fragrances just before coming to class. At the very back of the classroom, we diffuse CPTG (certified pure therapeutic grade) essential oils diluted in water to cleanse the air and allow for deeper breathing – if you have any allergies, or prefer a fragrant free space for practice, please let us know and we will gladly turn the diffuser off for your class.

Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to seeing you!
