ૐ Once a healing destination for native tribes including the Rogue, Klamath, Shasta and Takilma tribes, and later for white settlers in the region, Buckhorn Mineral Springs retreat center is nestled in its own valley, and set against the dramatic backdrop of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. Buckhorn provides a number of historically restored buildings for comfortable, modern lodging that maintains a rustic feel.

Thanks to the hard work of the Sargent family over the past 30 years, Buckhorn Mineral Springs has been restored to its former glory, and is listed with the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District.

Nature-based Yoga Studio

Facing East, the 12-sided circular shaped Dodecagon is set at the corner of the pasture on the perimeter of Buckhorns grounds, providing a secluded and peaceful setting for intimate groups. Additionally, 120 beautiful acres with a balanced mix of meadows, conifer forest, and creek provide an abundance of outdoor gathering spaces.

Sattvic Food

Delicious, seasonal and organic vegan/vegetarian meals will appeal to a variety of appetites. The dishes are always fresh, with ingredients from seasonal harvests either from Buckhorn’s on site organic gardens, or other local farmers. Recipes are created to suit the needs of the participants, attending to diets, allergies and food restrictions. Breakfast will be self-serve, with fruits, breads, and other requested foods made available for personal preparation. Lunch and dinner are traditionally served buffet style, either in the lodge’s spacious dining room, or on the adjacent wrap-around deck, which overlooks emigrant creek.

“The kitchen door separates worlds between our family and our guests, but it’s the opening of the door with beautiful food in hand that brings everything together at Buckhorn Springs.”

– Chef Leslie Sargent
